This group is for anyone who enjoys experimenting with photographic composition. Visits are arranged to a variety of locations where you can experiment with your camera and take photographs that you find interesting.
Outings involve walking, although not long distances, and are affected by the weather. The typical duration is usually around 3 hours. Outings are usually on the last Thursday of the month; however, this may occasionally be varied to suit Group Members.
If anyone has any ideas for future outings please let me know, likewise if anyone is interested in learning a bit more about using a digital camera, we can arrange an introductory lesson for you.
Remember, no expertise or special equipment is normally required to take part: some excellent results can be achieved just by using a smart phone. Members with no interest in photography are more than welcome to join us purely for the leisurely walks themselves which tend to be between three and six miles, although on occasions have been slightly longer.

The Photography Group Outings are always at the mercy of the weather and sometimes we have to make last minute changes to our plans but despite this we enjoy a varied programme of photographic outings. Details, together with examples of our photographic endeavours, can be found in the reports below.
The Group is taking a break over the summer but in July we will be holding our annual Afternoon Tea and Members’ Competition. Outings will resume in September with a walk from Greenwich to Canary Wharf.
